Take Part in Something Great
Our Three Pillars of Service
Honoring the Legacy of Hunter and Morris through Action in Central Texas.
1. Veteran Support & Advocacy
Named in honor of local heroes Army Specialist Matthew Troy Morris and Vietnam veteran Vernon Hunter, our Post is built on a foundation of sacrifice. We serve veterans and their families across Williamson County, providing a vital network for those who served in modern conflicts and beyond. We carry forward the dedication of our namesakes by ensuring every local veteran has a community that honors their service and supports their needs.
2. Youth Leadership & Civic Responsibility
As part of the nation’s largest veterans service organization, we are committed to strengthening the Cedar Park and Leander community by investing in its future. Through Texas Boys State, Bluebonnet Girls State, and our youth leadership initiatives, we instill the values of national unity and civic responsibility in local students, preparing them to be the next generation of American leaders.
3. Patriotism & The "911" Legacy
Chartered in 2010, Post 911 carries its designation to ensure the lessons of September 11th—service, unity, and resilience—are never forgotten. We lead Central Texas in promoting patriotism through our annual 9/11 Remembrance ceremonies at Veterans Memorial Park and Flag Day education. We don't just remember history; we reinforce a continued commitment to the American spirit.
